Rebuilding DVD Collection - Recommended Format

Sony, in effect, had this with their firewire based DVD changer. Yes, you could only use one disk at a time (unless you had more than one...which some people did) but for many it was the a simple solution that works brain dead easy with media center. At the time, it was pretty cost effective ($3-$4 a disc). However, with storage so cheap these days...not so much (well, DVD's at least). If they released another thing like this again but for Blu-Ray that cold hold 200 discs, it would be amazing. Even if they sold it for $800, it would be a steal if you considered everything needed to store 200 Blu-Ray discs.

the whole point is to digitize the library and make it avaialble across multiple formats. imo the jukebox idea just goes back in time, not forward. the key is for ultra large hard drive sizes in ssd or other type format that are as cheap or cheaper as most normal hard drives are now.( ie 5-10 Tb drives the size of an ssd that were under $200. now that would be a steal.
