my aunt/uncle/cousin have an old computer which is a crappy hp that cant hande what they throw at it anymore. they basically just use it for aol, word processing, and my cousin plays some light games on it. the parts i can use from it now are the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, cd-rw, 40gb harddrive, and floppy.

here are the parts i have so far:
-Athlon XP 1800+ w/ generic Cooler Master hsf and Arctic Silver Ceramique
-2x 256mb Crucial PC2700 RAM
-Shuttle AN35N Ultra motherboard
-Antec SLK1600 case w/ 300w power supply
-Sapphire Radeon 9200 128mb
-Windows XP Home

does everything look fine? i dont think the video card is lacking, the games my cousin plays arent intense...he's only 8. any suggestions where i could save money? will the Antec 300w power supply be enough?

the total comes out to $435 shipped which is a perfect price. how much should i charge for a project like this? is $50 adequate?

Actually thats a very good built system for what their going to use it for. 50 bux would sound ok, but since its family u mite wanna ask 40. But tahts just me.

Looks peachy to me, I'd say if they pester you while you're building it $50, if not like $25 or something.

You could probably get cheaper if you found a Dell deal or something like that and they wouldn't be relying on you for tech support.

If its for family build it for free since they are buying the parts. Ive never charged any of my family that ive built computers for.
