After playing a game, my mouse wouldnt move properly, sometimes it was moving, sometimes it wasnt, it kept sticking to so i rebooted. I then got a red message as soon as it rebooted. I cannot remember exactly what it said but it goes something like this..

"Power expansion cable not plugged into your radeon 9800 card, for assitance read your manual..."

I dont touch the inside of my pc cause i dont want to mess it up but i had to for this. After opening and closing my pc about 3 times, i checked the power cable going into the radeon card. It seemed to be in properly but i pulled it out and put it back in, as well as following the cable and along the way making sure all the connectors were properly plugged in.

Now it is working, what has happened? and why did this only happen once i rebooted? i was playing games for hours before i rebooted.

My first guess would be that your PSU is either crappy, or having trouble maintaining power to your components....meaning it's going bad.

I got a brand new Antec Case 3 months ago. I got a PSU with it which is 430watt.

Could it really be this? ive never had this error before.

Could it just be a one off? i know i said the cables inside the pc seem like they were in properly, maybe they werent and by me pulling them out and putting them back in, fixed this problem?
