I recently bought the Canon Wireless Remote Control (RC-1). This remote is a must have, it can shoot with a 2 second delay or instantaneously (continuous shooting) as oppose to the RC-5 which only has a 2 second delay (self timer ).

If you guys were looking for a cheaper alternative however, get this:

This is the Logitech EasyFit Connector 2.5mm made for Cell phones, it costs a mere $4.99 @ Fry's, etc.. Part # 980274-0403. It hooks into the remote control slot (middle slot) where the RS60E3 would go into.

It's very small but it fires the shutter just like the Canon wired remote. Lightly press the button and it focuses, press it fully and you shoot. Also good for Bulb shots ! Best $5.00 I ever spent :p.

Yeah I saw that in one of my photo forums about a month ago. Pretty cool alternative....

I should have researched more. I paid $28 for a Canon wired remote. The remote is very handy too. ;)

I paid $22 for my Canon Wireless RC-1 Remote and $5 for my Logitech Wired Remote :).. I still came $1 lesser than you did :D... Which one did you get, the R60E3? Does that have AV controls and stuff? I thought about that too, but I really just wanted something that fires the shutter and be able to capture some spy shots ;)!
