Hello everyone,

I recently disassembled my MS Ergo KB so I could better clean it. Unfortunately, when it was put back together, it stopped working. I don't believe there is any water damage since it was fairly dry. I think my first concern is the fact that I reassembled it incorrectly. I was wondering if anyone had pictures or a good description of the process of reassembling it.

I feel stupid for not paying better attention when I was taking it apart. It's the older style KB - very basic, just split down the middle with the lights in the middle.

Any info. anyone can provide would save me time & money.

Thanks,

Well I took appart my Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard to clean up some juice someome spilled on it and I had trouble getting it to work.

What happened was that the little plastic membranes got mixed up. On my board there are 3 layers and I got them reversed and so it wasn't working right at all. I'd hit f and I'd get a series of characters etc. And some keys did nothing at all.

Make sure the layer that has nothing on it (no traces, no contact points etc.) has holes in it. That goes between the two other pieces that do have contact points and traces on them. Make sure all the contact points line up, then plug it into the keyboard controller and put the rubber membrane on top and re-assemble the board. Worth a shot anyhow.
