Rear Sound issues..

I have an Audigy2 ZS Sound card...I use the Razer Barracuda Headset.

The rear sound is extremely muffled and sounds awful. I have the latest drivers, and settings are all right. 5.1 Surround.

I tried plugging in the Rear Sound into the Front sound port on my sound card...same thing..

I also went to the extent of buying another Barracuda to see if my headset just blew the rear speakers...NOPE same thing...

Razer Suggested another sound card, but...if I tried the rear sound on the front sound port and it did not work, it makes me believe its not the sound card.

If you have an audigy 2, you have to make sure you have CMSS on, because otherwise if your source is 2 channel (music for example) the soundcard won't send anything to the rear channels, just the fronts.

you would have the choice of CMSS, CMSS2, or stereo surround, try stereo surround first, as it simply duplicates the front channels to the rear (CMSS does some processing to make 2 channel stuff sound more 5.1)
