I have this problem where 2 virtual drives always reappear even after I uninstall Alcohol 120%. I think they were left there by previous installs and no matter what I do I cannot remove them. I can delete them by using hardware manager but after boot, they reappear. Is there some way I can remove these two through the registry? Please help!

Yes. Go into your registry and back it up before you do anything else. Then in the registry hit ctrl and F. Then type in the name of the drives and delete them. Keep hitting ctrl and F until the names of the drives are gone. That should help you. Let me know.

I'm sorry, not the drives. Open regedit and again, make sure you back it up first. Hit Ctrl and F then type in Alcohol 120%. Hit enter. Delete and repeat until its all gone. Then look for the following one at a time and delete them from your registry.

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}"

"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE1126B64A90E8365B85CFCF6"

Hey I found this on the web for you. I hope it helps.

1. Run "regedit"
2. Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}", then delete that.
3. Find "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE1126B64A90E8365B85CFCF6", then delete that.

Now, to remove Alcohol driver you need to go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services here you should fínd the Keys for the Alcohol Driver in the current version, a347bus and a347scsi, delete these Keys and remove corresponding files from Windows\System32\Drivers folder.

Check C:\windows\program Files\Alcohol Soft and delete the folder. Re-boot your PC.

Hmm ok, I did that but when I try to delete a347scsi in the registry, it says there is an error... hmm.

EDIT: solved with restart

Ok, I did all the steps above and it removed one drive... however, there is still one left.

Is abp480n5 a driver used by Alcohol 120?

Ok, thanks for your help  1 reappearing drive is better than 2, plus if I just disable the one left, I can't see it anyways.

I posted another thread for you and Ice Czar responded the following:

offhand without a context Id say no
well unless your using SCSI drives
of course ATAPI is a quasi SCSI protocol so Im not absolutely positive
but both those drivers lists show it not available
