ok i been running the gpu client on my 4870 and the smp one on 3 of my cores for about a day now and it shows i only did like 1k points today.

system is x4 955 @4ghz 8GB ddr3 1600 win 7 64

should my points be higher?
 
Well, Im not sure how well that CPU does on smp, but I know only running 3 cores is gonna hurt it even more, and that gpu client is gonna suck so much it won't be worth it but yea, you will probly see more than 1k from that rig. I'll let the others chime in as I'm heading to bed but that's the basic jist

It isn't worth it to run the gpu client on ATI cards right now. Just disable it because it is destroying the points you should be getting from the smp client. Depending on your clock speed, you should see between 4000-7000 on that cpu using 4 cores. Unless you are doing something really CPU intensive, you can safely use all 4 without seeing any real performance hit in other programs.
 
Also you must do 10 WU with your passkey to get the full ppd when running the SMP client.
 
turn off the gpu client.. its not worth the electricity bill to run ATI cards on F@H right now.. as far as the cpu goes it should do 5500-9000 PPD depending on the WU.. but like kendrak said you will have to run 10 A3 smp WU's on your passkey before you start getting the bonus points..
 
+1 shutdown GPU. I am getting a little over 4K on a 955BE@3.63 & 8GB RAM.

I would like to know how you managed to get your 955 to 4GHz. I cant get anything stable over 3.7

1.625v core on water. i can run 3.8 at 1.5v core but that is no fun.

il turned off the gpu and will see how it goes

try raising the NB voltage just a tad even if your overclocking with the multiplier the 8 gigs of ram might be limiting your overclock.. and unless your water cooling do not use the 1.62v that Thax is using..
 
Keep in mind that you need to finish 10 SMP units before you will get any bonus points for completing them.
 
Will give the NB voltage a bump and see what happens. Right now, I have the multi dropped and the fsb up trying to get more memory bandwidth out of it for folding. Ram is OCZ Platinum. The RAM clocks like mad, but i'm not doubting that DDR2 is holding me back.

well then there is your problem.. definitely need to bump the NB voltage to 1.2 or 1.25v 8 gigs alone is enough load on the NB.. 8 gigs + overclocked NB requires some extra voltage..
 
Assuming you are this thax, then you've done 7 work units so far. You should see your points per work unit go up when you start getting a bonus.
