Okay I have been having system crashes in BF2142 for awhile since I built this computer two months ago and I just ignored it figuring it was the shitty game engine. Well, my problem just happened in STALKER so now I have to figure out whats going on in my computer. :(

Anyhow, what happens is while I'm playing for awhile the the screen will suddenly go black and emit a squeeling noise from the speakers !!!!Note not the actual computer but from the speakers!!!! and then I do a restart on the case real quick so nothing gets damaged (hopefully).

I've gone into the Event Viewer in the control panel and nothing ever shows up, the log temps for the Cpu and Video card are all fine too...I have a very slight overclock on everything, but not enough to get get the cpu above 60 or the video card above 70.

I confused...

You really need to give more information about a computer when asking for help with a problem. OS, Ram, Card, CPU, OC, PSU, Mobo, HD's, Driver Versions. And orginized so that we can read it, not just a huge a paragraph.

lol thats not a huge paragraph...its like 5 sentences.

E6600
7900 GS KO evga
2gb PC6400 G.Skill
P5N-E SLI
Windows XP Home
PC Power and Cooling PSU

All the drivers are updated.

I don't see why that would help to answer my question, though.

Use the 91.47 , a looooot better.

i had the same problem as you 2 days ago and it was the driver.

i think it came with the Evga card box.

that is wierd i gained 100 FPS on the ati tool test with the old driver :O

This happened to me on counter strike: source. My ram was in single channel not dual channel. Fixed now
