Really slow GROMACS WU?

Last night my 1.4GHz P-M laptop finished a 600-pointer GROMACS. And now it's working on a 341-point GROMACS. However, this newer, fewer-point GROMACS is going to take considerably longer-per-point than the older, bigger WU(or at least it seems like it). Is there a reason for this? I know that different cores run faster/slower on different machines, but this is the same core on the same CPU.

Point value != time spent on unit.. There is no rhyme or reason!

this man..for once speaks truth/sense. You wanna calculate Points Per Day for each WU.

The 600 pointer is a big packet work unit and as such has a 100% increase in points.

The 341 pointer may be a small packet work unit as has no such bonus.

Luck............ :D

I just got a slow ass gromacs too. its averaging 28 minutes per frame on a A643000+ over-clocked to 2.295GHz. Says I won't be done until sunday . . .
