Really rethinking my new build.

ok right now my build is

New Rig: Antec 300
Phenom x3 720 (4th core unlocked 3.0hz)
OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) (10666)
ASUS M4A78LT-M LE 780L Micro ATX
Spinpoint F3 500GB
LG DVD Burner Retail
Corsair 750TX - XFX 5850
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Ive been really worried about this build lately. Mostly CPU and Mobo wise. more as in gaming in general aka bottlekneck. What do you think. I was concidering upgading my CPU and Mobo to these below

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz (C3)
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard

I do want to crossfire 5850's sooner or later so im worried about CPU. maybe just buy a better board? i get my 5850 on tuesday so if i do anything im going to be ordering tonight

haha...I've been thinking the same thing since I put my rig together. I'm definitely going to be getting either the 955 or 965 some time in the future. Hopefully it will be within the next couple of months. Not that I'm at all dissatisfied with the 550...I just want that C3 9xx...sooo badly. I'm sure that board will be nice.

well the reason im debating this is because i want to go dual 5850's and im sure that this cpu is going to bottleneck. its either get that combo above or a newboard. going to wait and see what more experienced users say.

Though I'm not experienced, I would assume that "bottleneck" is going to be relative here. From the benchmarks I've seen/read you shouldn't have a problem. Relatively speaking it's going to come down to what games you're playing and at what resolution...right?
