Really, really annoying problem...

Howdy all,

I've got a problem downloading files and its driving me crazy!

I can download most files okay - .exes, .mp3s, etc. But any file associated with MS Office is a whole different kettle of fish. Trying to download Excel and Powerpoint files, with Internet Explorer the download reaches 99% and then just stops. With Firefox, its 98%. With Opera, its once again 99%.

Windows firewall is disabled. I can't see any appropriate security settings to change. I'm using a user account in Windows with no extra processes loading on startup - so I can't see what other application could be stopping the download...

The oddest thing is that although I can't download from this one particular site that I need to, if I download the files via another PC and e-mail them to myself, I can login to the webmail and download them problem-free that way.

Any ideas anyone...? I'm exasperated.
