Really need to get my 80gb working.

1) Posting the same problem multiple times not a good thing.

2) You were given a ton of good info in that thread, and if it did not work, the second to the last poster said he had the same problem, so he's getting a replacement via an RMA.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like you have your answers already.
