Im helping a friend out in a industrial design course and Im trying to find some sexy little notebooks. They can be any size / color / shape as long as you think them sexy. I realize its a different sort of thread but as far as I can tell it should go here.

I have THIS being shipped out to me in a few days.

Its the very sexy Dell Adamo design about $1000 USD less. Aluminum casing (hate plasticky crap) LED screen and thinner than a MacBook Air..and its available with a Core 2 Duo.

The Envy is definitely sexy but its cousin, the TouchSmart tm2 Tablet PC has a few good looks as well.

This machine is AWESOME! I even played Mass Effect 2 on it for an hour this evening to see how it ran. About 25 FPS average at default settings at 1280x720 resolution.

i always thought the ibm/lenovo t-series looked fantastic
flat, black, simple
no fancy/flashy crap - just sleek lines and simplicity

Nothing sexier than a MacBook Pro. Up next I would say the Envy and then Adamo.
 
Dell Studio XPS 13 and Voodoo Envy 133. The gloss black is a pain in the ass to clean though.

The HP tm2 and MBP 13 side by side. The tm2 is looking pretty sexy itself:

The tm2's main section is overall sleeker, the screen is a bit thicker, touch and pen digitizers at play here. Of course the tm2's hump if the back thinkens the unit in the back, the price of a dedicated GPU unfortunately

HP looks like it DEFINITELY had the MBP in mind with the Envy and now the tm2.
 
They are very close. From a purely aesthetic point of view, the round-ness of the screen on the tm2 looks cheap to me, too plastic-y. Also, the brownish color of the base with the black keys doesn't look nice either. I hate how the space between the keys isn't the same color of the base as well. Finally, wtf is that graphic on the right palm rest? I just don't get it. Call me vein, but it (almost) ruins the whole thing for me. I'm not 14 and I don't want stupid graphics on my laptop (sorry to the 14 year olds, I'm sure one of you has good taste, but no matter what you'll have better taste down the road).

That of course, is me being nit picky. Overall, the tm2 is a great looking machine.

Yeah, stickers like bloatware help to reduce the cost of PCs unfortunately. As for the color of the tm2, its a rather strange beast in that it's color tends to shift based on lighting and the angle viewed. It actually looks more like stainless steel like on a kitchen appliance in person.
 
Apple MacBook/MacBookPro/MacBookAir - These are the traditional "good design" sexy notebook. Metal chassis, LED backlit thin screen, backlit keys. Typically, I find the hardware underwhelming and the price outlandish, but it does look great.
HP Envy - These are very, very similar to the MBP. Unfortunately they all have unlit keyboards and the 15" model lacks the edge to edge super high brightness display that is on the 15".
New 2010 Sony Z - Super premium, 13", powerful, sexy, and pricey. Backlit keyboard, ultra high resolution and high quality screens. One of the few notebooks with component still made (and in the case of the non-custom models, assembled) in Japan. Magnesium alloy chassis with brushed aluminum keyboard deck and an optional carbon fiber lid.
ThinkPad - Blocky, matte and solid as a rock. Some people find them great looking though as they have a very iconic design.
Dell Adamo series - These are typically thin and aesthetically pleasing. The newest one actually has the computer parts in the "lid" and the keyboard folds down.
Many Asian notebooks - There are tons of Asia-only notebooks that are typically underpowered but thin, light and pretty to look at. Check out a site like dynamism.com to see them.
