I want to buy my room mate a really girly case (he's gay), and have it be pretty lame and all that. What's a good idea? (Note, don't confuse girly with -ugly $2 beige case-)
 
I would suggest you buy something manly, and then paint it pink.

It's better that way. :D
 
I think it would be pretty girly to get one of those small, desktop Lian Li's and paint it pink. It would look kinda like the Doll that VoodooComputers used to make. I guess I think any SFF case would work well...nothing against them.
 
whatever you do, please make sure we get pick here... gotta see this one..
 
Depending on what he is using it for, I would suggesting building a mini/micro case. Small = cute. And don't paint it pink, that's too cliche. Ask him how he would decorate it, or figure out what room he's putting it in and pick out a color scheme to match.

There was a dude on suddhian forums who built a pink hello kitty shuttle for his daughter, I think.
 
i think you should get the flower case or the pink case and on one side paint it black and put an upside down cross, an inverted american flag, and an upside down pentagram then on the other side put a rainbow, an upside down purplish/pinkish triangle, and a sticker of richard simmons with one of those crazy faces he makes like :eek: and then put a picture of fabio on the front and little hearts around him with glitter and get some lisa frank stickers of little poneys and puppies and put them everywhere

Hey, if you're going to do a job, go all out or stay home =P. Plus I also have a gay roomate, so I thought I had a unique opinion to give =P
 
sparkles are pretty feminine.

do a custom paint job, purple with sparkles/glittery sorts of stuff. that'd be pretty damn girly I think.

Damn thats a good price. I'm really thinking about ordering one. We need to build a new server for us to run project off of for our consulting group. Project doesn't play nice with some of the other features in sbs if you want to use sharepoint so we were going to build another machine with std on it. Figure build a pentium d system around that and wait to see what my boss says.

You should definitely get him a purple ECS mobo or I think Gigabyte makes some purple mobos as well. Personally, I think you should do a worklog project for this and make a good modded case for him, it would probably come out a lot better.

Same here, I really like the dark purple on the ECS motherboards.

I would get that Caseart case from Directron, that is hella cheap for one of there cases, those things use to go for $200-$300 easy! If I had the cash I would get it for the computer I am building for my daughtor.
 
I'm not saying its bad, I own 3 ECS mobo's myself. I was just pointing out that it would be very fitting considering purple is the Gay pride color. Duh... :p
 
Why are you living with this homo? You should either beat him up or kick him out cause he might rub off on ya. You never know what those fairies can do.

Also, what if you party and wake up in the same bed as him? They will do that, you gotta watch yourself. Queers make me wanna puke. But you know what makes me wanna puke more? Pale pimply nerds who can't even talk to a girl without sounding creepy making fun of other people because of who they are. You should get your head out of the sand. ;)
