So I am getting tired of cleaning up spyware for clients, I have loaded MBAM for clients to run but they still get stuff and then can't run it because of the program being blocked. On business networks mostly just running NOD with OPENDNS, with home users running NOD or MSE or whatever AV they had and have installed MBAM for them to run.

What is the best real time program to install? MBAM realtime isn't suppose to be all that effective but gives automatic updates and scheduled nightly scans. Is there any good programs to run real time? Don't care if its free, or paid for. Would like it to also have a corporate based version.

Thanks,
Dan

exactly, just what MBAM is, want something that efective but real time.

I think there's an inherent problem with stopping it real-time unless you are an informed user. I think back to how annoying programs like teatimer, or (I think it was a early version) Mcafee's systemsguard are. What I noticed was people just clicking ok to every security prompt so the popup's would go away..........like some people will do to software firewalls.....and making the program useless.

I'm in for a good idea if someone has one.

Well, FYI, you can buy a real-time version of MBAM for $25. Launch MBAM, click on the Protection tab and click Purchase. I believe it's a lifetime subscription.

If you want something free, without advertisements, grab MSE, which also protects from viruses.

He's already aware of MBAM's real-time, and MSE.........as mentioned in the OP. He want's more options. Most people are aware that AV companies are including Malware in the definitions, but from what I read, the OP want's something that specifically targets malware.

Oh I apologize I re-read his first post and see that, not sure why I missed it last time.

yes dont really want recomendations on how to change there habits, want ideas of software.

mbam realtime is a little lacking, whats nice is the schedule scanning and updates, but i doubt the real time is good.

what about superantispyware?

aren't other programs out there for it?

I've recently been looking at Kaspersky Business 6 which comes with an administrator tool to manage installation packages and definition updates. I like it but you have to customize the packages or else you get a ton of extra junk installed like Firewall etc. If you customize and only install File scanner it can be a real nice AV product.

Superantispyware. For on demand scans, MBAM is king. For real-time protection, it's SAS, hands down. $20 for a lifetime license.

Another alternative is A-Squared, but it can be quite heavy on your system. I had multiple licenses and stopped using it almost immediately.

The best is:

- Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- SUPERAntiSpyware
- Ad-Aware
- HijackThis
- SpywareBlaster
- CCleaner

Cumps.

SpyBot also has Tea-Timer, but having never used it much, it may present issues for the end-user since I think it does pop up asking if they would like to allow an action to be done.

but might be worth checking out?
