I am sorry that the benchmark is just same with "sander's benchmark".
I am really sorry I've bothered you all,for I just wanted to share information with you.
so please don't reply this thread.

Because that website is unbearably slow... I did you all a favor.

It looks like the X1800XT is on par with the 7800GT, but definately slower. The thing is though that the GT and GTX still have better drivers, and support dual processors. I think this fact alone that the ATi drivers are still early can push the benchmarks past those of the GT or GTX.

here we go. i dunno. if these are real then i'd have to say i would be happy with either one. 512mb of gddr3 is rather nice but i don't see it helping any in these benchies...

Well, tahnks for fixing the linky but that did not help. After i go on Rage3d forum, theres a lnk to another site which brings yoo to an empty page with osme chinese text on it. Chinese anyone?

Anybody can throw up a chart with numbers, at least the 3dMark05 HKPEC put up with the blurred out name is more believeable than this.

Someone posted when i did, so did not see the pic, anyway do you guys think those are real? I though ATI was really confident that it will outperform 7800gtx. :(

If these are real then the Pro is more than likely the XL just mislabeled.

I wonder if they used a reference model 7800GTX in the benchies or a "OCed" model. If that is simply a reference then ATi is in big trouble...unless of course they can also be OCed like crazy. I don't want to just see benchmarks on the x1800xt I wanna know the stock frequencies and the max OC's and before and after benchies.

i do not think those are real, but we will have to it 7 days to know for sure.

Im waiting for the [H]ard Benches to come out. None of this pre release Benchies crap.

I still think these numbers would be fake. Like many people have said, why would ATI release a product so late after the 7800 gtx and have it be slower or not even competative. The average consumer, when comparing two "equal cards" is going to buy the card that is no doubt cheaper, that being the 7800 gtx, unless you are a !!!!!!. We still wont know anything until the dang thing this is released and people buy the card or someone reviews it for everyone. Only another week or so to wait. Lets see some benchmarks OR ELSE!!!! LOL

If they are real, I have one question. Why would they blur out the card name on the ATI report screen? 3dmark05 not reporting the right name 'cause its a prototype card or something? Look at how close the fps are, though - not a noticeable difference at all (then again, it is just 3dmark @ low res/effects).

the r520 has some nice new features that will make it apealling for the time being.

I am positive those are fake, but who am I to judge. I will not believe any of this car until ATI will announce it.

Yeah if ATi is able to pull off AA and HDR with no penalty I will certainly go for them.

Another thing, how could the x850xt only be 5fps behind the x1800xt at 1600x1200 in HL2. Thats like comparing a 6800gt to a 6800ultra. Hardly any difference. Now those numbers have to be made up. The x1800xt has to be that much faster than the previous gen x850xt otherwise it wouldn't justify the long delay in release let only the new 90nm process and increased clockspeed.

Me too, if the real benches come out that close then in my mind ati will lose this round too, simply because the 7800 has been available for so much longer. But if it puts the hurting on the 7800, then it was worth the wait.

But it is amazing that X1800 EQUIPS WITH BOTH h264 and HDR with MSAA,according to the moderator of the largest graphics bbs in china, who has got the real spec paper.

just means shader performance per pipe (well if we can call them that anymore) would say array, didn't increase much since both cards have 16 main ALU's. It comes down to clock speed. and 60 mhz in clock speed won't give much of a boost in a pixel shader limited ap.

Becuase it is not an x1800000000 card :) hence being fake.

How are you so sure that those are real. if they are not i will pm you a huge LOL :)

The promised land has fallen flat on its arse.....there is no miracle to the x1800 cards. Theyre just going to be competative and not uber.....who cares. This just reinforces what ATIs own CEO said about 2 months ago. but like I really care about chinese benchmarks......again, just wait.....

The structure of the chip hasn't changed significiantly in the ALU department to create more pixel shader power per clock. It will only have advantages over the r420 line in specific areas like texture lookups getting data from the pixel shader (lets say you make a procedural height map that is dynamic and has to be changed on the fly in game play, and this height map is read by the vertex shader to change terrain levels. the ring bus allows data from the pixel shader to go directly to the vertex shader instead of the more traditional approach where it is written to the buffer and then read by the vertex shader) and extra performance due to increased clock speed.

Jesus just becase you already spent $1100 on your SLI cards doesn't mean you ahve to say that. I know you are hoping it wont be better, but what if it is? BUMMER you will not have the best GPU anymore, by the way if it is better you are on my LOL list too :)

Yes i see what you are saying, but ATI did not say aything about r520, nobody besides them realy knows what it will be, am I missing something here?

I wonder what their test system was, if it is the same as for their "XL" 3dMark05 score, the numbers all across the board are pretty much don't make any sense, game settings could make a difference but your not gonna test a new card with low settings, their test system used an FX-55, well compare the X850XT PE,6800 Ultra and 7800GTX scores for D3,HL2 and SC to this http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NzkxLDI=

It only has one ALU per pipe and 16 ALU's for the entire chip. Each ALU can do one mal/mud operation or 1/2 pixel op or 2 z stencil operations.

The only way to increase operations per pipe or over all calcs is to have more ALU's, this is why the r580 will have some awesome shading power since it has 3 ALU's for its 16 "pipes". Much like the approach nV took with the g70, by adding 2 times the ALU's to each pipe.

sao, you are saying that i should wait for r580 to get a huge boost from x800xl?

thats hard to say, next gen games will use certain features the r520 has, but the x800xl will last at least for another year of playability. It will come down to personal choice for you.

*sigh*

same fools believing to old benches repackaged.

Why can't anyone wait 7 more days?
