Hey everyone thought I would share my second case project. I painted this as a favor for a friend to help spice up his case a bit. Hope you like it.

Hehe, its not the camera its the operator! lol I need photoshop so I can manipulate my photos, or I need to read the user manual for my Canon. Thanks for the kind words about the paint job. :)
 
I would love too, I really would, but materials for this kind of thing can get expensive, as well as the amount of time it takes to do. If I had more materials I would be happy to for a small fee for my time. :p
 
Awsome paint job. Too bad the XDreamer has a piss poor design (I have one). I'm going to give my Xdream the boot for a Stacker :D
 
Yeah I prefer Aluminum, I use a Lian-Li PC65 myself. I have modded it too, I cant get over how addictive case modding can be. Anyway I think he uses the xdreamer becuase its a "house" for all his parts and to him thats all that matters, to each his own I guess.
 
Very nice! I am guessing you airbrushed that. What kink do you have? I have a Pasche double action that I got a few years ago. Sadly, I havent used it a hole lot.

Thanks again, as for the type of airbrush I use I have two. For larger areas I have an Iwata Eclipse, and for smaller fine work I have an Iwata Custom Micron with a 1/16th gravity feed. I also use a Mini Sata spray gun for clearcoating and candy coating. I use all PPG automotive finishes for paint material, cant beat the quality.
 
I would love to resize them, however I have no photo editing software, if there is a way to do it without software please let me know I will gladly resize them. Cheers :D
 
the paint job is freaking awesome!!! heck, id pay you to paint a few parts of my case for me.
your friend has to replace that alien fangrill on the top, it doesnt go together too well.

where do you live anyways?
 
Im located in Kansas of all places, but im moving to Colorado next week, to say im excited is an understatement.
 
wanna do a paintjob for me? i would want to get a few parts of my wave master painted. the front door, the top part holding the door then bottom pieces and my front panel where the window is. soooo.... basically the whole case front and the panel with my plexi window.

how long would it take?
 
XP lets you do some basic resizing, though I think you need one of the SPs for it. (Basic= the standard screen resolutions, for the most part. You can define customs, but it doesn't work as well.)
 
I could do it for you but I cant make any arrangements until I get moved. As far as how much time it would take it depends. From the idea you have thrown out it would take probably 1 day to prep the panels/case pieces, and 2 days for paint/clear coat + delivery time. I havent really calculated cost for a project like this because I havent ever done this kind of work on commission. If your serious about doing this I can contact you once I get moved and we can work out some details.
 
Hey mavalpha, thx for the idea there, I figured it out using a small utility I downloaded off the net. Really need to get photoshop. :rolleyes: :mad:
 
VERY nice paintjob!! Keep some high quality pics of projects you do like this, and build yourself a portfolio, and I'm betting that in no time you'll be doing this type of work as at least a side job, if not as a full fledged career! :D

Oh yeah, and tell your buddy that a dragon fan grill would look a lot better on top! LOL
 
Dude, that is a great paint job. But, if you made it the front and side panels match up, it would look 10x better.
 
Hey disciple, what's your location? I've got some airbrush work planned for my current project and I wouldn't mind paying you to do it with that kind of talent, provided the shipping for the pieces isn't too high. Glad to help out with material costs too, long as the work is as pretty as that case.

BTW, this is no joke I'm dead serious about it. I found a very talented airbrush artist here locally but she works at a t-shirt place and charged my wife like $20 to airbursh 4 words on a shirt for a bachellorette party. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can you say RIPOFF??
 
disciple needs to open his own case painting buisness. i would deffinatley pay you to paint my case parts and offcorse would take pics of the case to add to your portfolio.

Thanks again for the all great feedback. Actually I am planning on starting a side business, however im moving in less than a week to Colorado. So needless to say I have A LOT going on right now, however If your serious enough about doing this I would be happy to paint your case for a fee for my time. Unfortunately I cant make any arrangements until Im settled in at my new location. Feel free to e-mail me and we can discuss details about a custom paint job, I cannot however make any statements about pricing on these forums as it is against the user agreement for this channel.
