OK, so the drive that came with this is a 500gb. I put in a 1.5tb and let it sync. After letting it sync, the next day I removed the 500gb drive and put in another 1.5tb. I now have this:

How do I get it to see the whole 1.5tb?

You probably have to expand the volume. Have you tried rebooting? I've also found mention of disabling journaling and then rebooting. Do please make sure you have a backup.

I have the data 3 other places from the drives in the NAS.

I will try a reboot when I go home for lunch.

A couple reboots fixed it.

Turns out it a was non issue for the most part. Thanks

i have the 4 drive version of this and now that i put the time into setting it up, i can't live without it.

Data wirelessly and wired and never have to worry about HDD crashing.

I even bought 2 spare 1.5TB drives just in case.

Your're welcome:).

Eminence_Front, don't feel too safe. Your data can always get corrupted, zapped by lightning, drowned by a flood, or the dog can use the NAS as a toy. Just saying you need to backup the important stuff:)

For me that is what a 1.5tb drive plugged into the front USB port is for. Click the backup button. Then stow in a firebox.
