I have a PC running Windows 7 and my friend is having problems with her Macbook. I want to plug in her hard drive into my dock and pull the data off using my computer. I know the dock works fine with her hard drive, but I have never tried to read a hard drive using a MAC OS on a Windows PC. It seems in theory it should not be a problem, but I wanted to check before I try it tomorrow.

I do not believe windows has support for hfs+.

Use a ubuntu live cd (or most other linux livecds like sysrescuecd) and you can read and write hfsplus partitions.

On the other hand if the drive is formatted for fat32 (not likely if the drive is not an external) obviously you will be able to read that in windows.
