I have an old server with 3 SATA-disks containing ~1.5 TB data. They are set up as a JBOD-volume in LVM on Debian (GNU/Linux) with a single ext3-partition on top.
I want to transfer this data to my new FreeBSD-server (with ZFS/RAID-Z), but because of the slow network-connection on the old server I want to move the disks into the new server and transfer it internally.
Is this possible in FreeBSD?
I found one guy claiming that FreeBSD supported LVM through Vinum, but after reading the Handbook I still don't get it.
