I have not found anything about this game on search....

Does anyone that has played the RE4 wii version think that it is worth buying if you already have played(and loved) the gamecube version? I'm thinking about getting it. Any improvements? Any special reason to play it over the gamecube version that works perfectly on the wii?

If want motion controls get it. They work pretty good and the game is only $30 or less. If you have a decent pc, you might want to try the US pc version or patched euro version, the graphics are so much clearer.

There's true 16:9 widescreen support, and all the added content from the PS2 version (a new costume for Leon and Ashley, the "Seperate Ways" campaign). The controls are much faster and more precise, which makes the game is a bit easy, but higher difficulty settings can offset that nicely.

It's less than $30, and it's not like there are other Wii games you could spend the money on. I'd go for it.

This game is worth it at $50.
So its definitely worth it at $30.

Wii controls are excellent, takes a few minutes, but then you'll be headshooting zombies in no time.

Capcom did something wierd with the video output, cause even in widescreen 480p, the entire presentation is fuzzy. (I said presentation, cause you can tell before the game even starts. I.E. The wiimote safety screen.) Its not a big deal, just odd. (It looks like they took the original letterbox game and stretched it to full widescreen. It makes no sense to me how they did that, but thats what the fuzziness looks like...)

Great game. I'm still working on my copy btw.
Got it on release.

Get it. Much more fun and satisfying playing with the wii remote.

skip the PC version. its a pile of shit and an embarassment to Capcom. its missing almost all of the special lighting and shader effects. it looks like a PSP game with decent textures or something. the same can be said about Devil May Cry 3 PC.

Not the US version or the Patched Euro version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_evil_4
Plus you can download some mods for it like texture packs and player skins, which might make it more fun for the second time around.

I bought the wii version and the controls are good, but the graphics are horrible so I ended up playing the PC version with a 360 controller.

JohnelMVP..... are you playing with naked ashley??

(or naked leon!?!?)

:)

back to topic....i absolutely love the wii controls for the game. i had it on gamecube, but had no problems playing through the game not only on normal mode but then again on hard mode just cause the wii controls were so much more fun. I had not bother to do the hard mode on the cube.

I had never played it before but had always loved the original RE series so I picked it up on release day. I must say that it is an awesome game and well worth the money. Takes a bit of getting used to but that gives way fairly quickly.

what.

there are numerous screenshot comparisons around the net. the graphics in the PC version are missing alot of effects. atleast upon release, there was also no mouse support....

the fact that users had to create patches for the game to sort of return it to its graphical glory is stupid.

I haven't tried it, but someone posted here that the Wii version will still work with a Wavebird, so it's actually got the GameCube version more or less included anyway. For $30 - those people who don't have either version should get this one.
The graphics are the same, though. I tested the GC version with my TV zoomed in (it's letterboxed) and the Wii version and it's almost pixel for pixel identical. I almost wonder if they just "zoomed" in via software to provide the same effect.

The knock on the Wii controls is that the "red dot" is gigantic and nailing absolute pinpoint shots is much more difficult as a result. On the other hand, nailing standard every day accurate shots on enemies is a bit easier. Headshots are still hit or miss (ie. sometimes it's a 1-shot kill and other times it does almost nothing) though.

Anyway, it's worth $30 only if you sell the GC version and you don't mind starting over with no weapons again. The new controls and PS2 extras don't really add anything, but they're kinda fun for a little while.

Now it all makes sense...
They copied the exact code from the GC version, added the extra levels and stuff, and added the Wiimote code. Thats why you can play with the gamecube controller, its the same code! Same letterbox presentation, now zoomed in.

Wow.
That is retarded.

I wouldn't call it retarded, but it's kind of like a "remix" version of the game. It's pointless for people who already had it (unless they don't like aiming with the pad) but it's a great deal for those who don't have it. For a new customer, it's the best $30 you'll ever spend.
