Hello,

I have been struggling with stability with the following setup, and wondering if it could be power related...

Specs:

A8N32-SLI
AMD X2 4400
2 x 1Gb Corsair 3200 LL PT
WD Raptor 150Gb
WD Caviar SE 200Gb
Nvidia 7900GTX
NEC 1300A DVD-RW
Lite-On 52x CD-RW
Terratec Auriron 7.1 DD soundcard
Nebula DigiTV PCI card (DVB-T)

I also have on USB, an external Buffalo HD 300Gb (own psu) and a Nebula DigiTV USB.

The power supply im using is a Nesteq 450W, specs can be viewed here: http://www.nesteq.de/DC-output.jpg

Any help is welcome, as my hair is slowly turning whiter and whiter....

First thing I'd try would be the ram. One stick at a time, memtest. Is it overclocked?

OT: Those power supplies look suspiciously like... seventeam!!

hi,

The system is not overclocked. I stopped overclocking a few years ago, was starting to become an expensive hobby LOL. Had a few too many fried CPUs/memory/mbs in my desk drawer!

Will try some Prime95 & Memtest in the next few days... To try and address my stability issues in more detail...

However does the 450W sound like its enough for my specs?

Thanks,

ut.

cheers for the nice link david...

I did some logging before with speedfan of my 12V readings, under full load / idle and couldnt see it fluctuate.

Bit worried to see how bad software is at monitoring the real values, hopefully the delta should be same though....

But will also try with a multimeter... will post findings.
