Re installing OS to SSD?

Hello

I currently have vista home premium installed on my corsair force 120gb ssd. I am looking to carry out a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate and wipe the existing OS, will this decrease the ssd's performance in any way and is there anything i should do or just carry out the 'custom' installation as normal? would a upgrade disc be a better option (vista home premium to windows 7 home premium)?

No, this will not harm your SSD's performance.

Aside from the fact the write-heavy performance problems with SSDs don't commonly show up in general use, you're moving to Win 7, which supports the TRIM command the Force SSDs support. This will iron out any performance problems that do manage to crop up.

Additionally, regarding the "upgrade" option, I would avoid it. Not only does it actually take longer than a straight custom install, but it'll be messier.
 
Ok great thanks. Also when i install windows 7 is there a option for quick or full install? and if so which one do i chose?
