I've got a system running Red Hat that I had to swap nvidia video cards.

Need to use the driver currently on the computer.

Is there an Nvidia Linux command to re-install the driver? I know the ones for Ati, but I am less familiar with Nvidia on Linux. After much searching everything references using a downloaded package which I can't use.

Not connected to the internet, and need to use the software currently installed, 256.53.

I'm not familiar with red hat but I would guess that the nvidia binary driver is found installed in the red hat package manager. You can remove the old driver from there, reboot and reinstall again.

What are you doing in red hat that requires gpu acceleration?
