re-evaluating my setup - need guidance

After setting up my rig, I am starting to think that it can be done better. Here are the parts

Swiftech Apogee GT CPU
Swiftech MCW30 Chipset
Swiftech MCW60-R GPU x 2
Swiftech MCP655 Pump
Swiftech MCRES-MICRO reservoirs
Swiftech MCR220-QP
BI GTS 120
All tubing is 7/16" ID

Here is my loop

220 > res > pump > CPU > chipset > 120 > y-split to both GPU > y-split back to 220 > repeat

Here is the system
Q6600 @ 3.2 1.4v idle / 1.38 load 8x400FSB
evga 680i
evga 8800GT SC

Temps:
idle / load
CPU: 47 / 58
GPU: 32 / 38 (both)

Honestly, I am not impressed with my CPU temps. The system has been running for approx 3 months or so.

Shouldn't these temps be lower?
Can my system be stream-lined?
I am thinking about swapping out the MCR220 for a BI GTS240, would that help?
Or should I break the bank and swap out radiators for Thermochills?
Or is everything fine and just be happy?

Here is a pic of the hosing once I completely things. The 220 radiator was moved to have fans on top pushing air in. Hoses are all in same positioning.

Well your temps are high because your volts seem high...

I run my q6600 @ 3.0ghz with 1.25v, You're giving it .15 volts for 200mhz?

Obviously there are going to be some slight differences, that just seems kinda high, that and lower-multiplier / higher FSB is gonna raise temps too...
 
You might want to add another radiator or go with a 120x3 to improve temps.
 
Your load temps are right inline with mine, really.

I don't think there's any issue with your loop, for a quad at 3.2.

Perhaps try remounting the block with less paste, and tighten it down harder.

I stopped playing with the voltages after spending a month trying to get my system stable at 3.6Ghz. It worked for a while under most circumstances but ultimately after 4 hours of Prime95, it BSOD. So I just have the voltage at AUTO while running it at 3.2. I know, don't let the BIOS control it but I was tired of tweaking. Maybe I'll fiddle with it again later. The odd thing, when I am running the CPU at 3.6 (regardless of the voltage) the CPU runs at a lower temp. Unfortunately, I cannot get the system stable. Go figure.

Once I get back in town, I'll probably try re-seating the CPU block and do another once over. I may still consider changing radiators but I guess that I'll take one step at a time. Cheap first :-P

Perhaps you have a bad mount on the CPU block. Have you tried remounting it?

Your temps are strange though. The GPU blocks have only 1/2 the flow of the CPU block, yet the GPUs have better cooling? As stated, your Vcore could be an issue.

And all 7/16" tubing? It looks like some of the tubing on the GPUs is smaller

You are correct, the lines going to the GPU are 1/4 tubing. I have a Y split to cool them in parallel instead of serial. That is the real reason why I am curious about my setup, the GPUs are way cooler than the CPU.

I've read that the pump does introduce some heat into the water so could that also be the reason why I'm running a bit high?

I tend to agree that it is probably related to the high vCore but my board/cpu don't want to run stable any lower. Even then, it isn't 100% stable. I may run at stock for a while until this all gets sorted.

I will re-seat the CPU block and see what happens with that when I get a chance. Work has been crazy and I have hardly any time to work on the system let alone use my computer for anything. It's been off for a week.
