Wow, sounds a lot like GTA4 Free Play, but more refined and more stuff to do.

This game will be sick. I think it will be a lot like GTA in the wild west, but with more of a variety of things to do than GTA4. I never actually bothered to play GTA4 online. But RDR's free roam looks fun.

Rockstar confirmed the gameworld of RDR is twice the size of San Andreas.

Just Cause 2 is bigger and emptier but worse and far more generic in general.

And I read the map in this picture is only one of the 3 "territories" in the game.
I believe south of the San Luis river is Mexico, and to the north of Cholla Springs is the Colorado Rockies territory.

The whole issue of Rockstar pressuring journalists to give this game good reviews and a couple friends who went to PAX telling me it was "only ok" has made me real skeptical about this...

I'll wait for impressions here.

Me too, this game seems really interesting and quiet different from the normal genre although I didn't play the 1st one. Wasn't it called Gun?

Pretty sure it was Red Dead Revolver. I don't think Gun ever got a second game

Officially there is no PC version. So I think they've got to be from console.

One preview said you won't go longer than a minute before seeing an NPC.

The gameworld looks vast and I'm glad. The way Fallout 3 crammed everything in to such a small area was a bad decision. They had to make it big and open to give it an authentic western vibe.
