Does anyone know when we will see the RD580 chipset on consumer motherboards? I want to recycle my X850XT PE into a CrossFire rig and I want to know if I should hold out until their next chipset.
 
So no one knows? I was just asking because I don't really know the cycle length to get a chipset from reference board to production models.
 
usually motherboard questions go in the mother board section

but the RD580 was supposed to be released close to the R580 being launched
 
I know, looking back I can see the errors of my ways. But when I first thought "ATi Chipset" I thought ATi Flavor.
 
yea happend to me when i asked a question about the first X200 boards that were apearing, oh well live and learn
 
Why not just answer the guy?

Supposedly, we're looking at an imminant launch. Probably within the next month. DFI and MSI have already shown off completed boards using the newer nb and the ULI southbridge, so it should be pretty soon.
 
I too would like to know as that will be when I get my second X1900XT.
