RCA and Optical PC audio cable are equal ?

I would like to buy a new aftermarket RCA/mini jack or Optical cable to replace my actually RCA find into bundle of my Edifier S330D, but i'm asking what is the targets to follows to choose a good cable without any problems.

I got fear that another cable cannot be 100% compatible like the bundle cheaper cable.

I see many brand and many beautiful models with large rage of prices, i saw for example : Goobay, Manhattan, Clicktronic, Lindy, Xos,, LCS, IBRA, Redline ........... all sleeved and golden connector cables but i dont know why someone have high price and others cost much less, why ?
What should i look ?
 
If what you have works why replace it? If you need a new coaxial or toslink (the one labeled optical on your speaker set) just hit up Monoprice. That set looks like it uses standard cables and not something proprietary. Expensive cables only benefit those selling them, especially digital cables like S/PDIF (coaxial/rca and toslink), USB, and HDMI.

If you're wondering about the difference between Coaxial/RCA and Toslink there isn't in as far as sound goes. Coaxial/RCA can get ground loops (a humming noise). Toslink is immune to ground loops but if the wire is pinched or bend badly it can block the signal (it is a laser after all).

you have apparently inadvertently stumbled into one of the many landmine issues of audio... audio in general can be fairly subjective so some will say that cables (as long as the connections are good make little to no difference and others will swear that blah blah special oxygen free , non distressed..blah blah blah cable is audibly better. give the gear (2.1 pc speakers) any decent inexpensive cables should suffice.


if you have coax or optical out on your computer then you have a choice... if you get a analog cable you can use the dac onboard or on your sound card, if you get a coax or optical cable you would bypass the dac on your computer and instead use the dac built into that speaker set.

blah blah blah .... inexpensive cables w/ decent reviews should be fine.
