I am expecting my RBX in the mail anytime now, just wondering for those of you that have used the differant nozzles, which one did you find to work the best for you and what pump and rad are you using?

Just want to have an idea of where I should be starting from, dont want to have to pull it apart 4 + times. :)

All reviews I have seen say the #5 nozzle works best. Its something about the directional flow jets blah blah blah etc...



I havn't tried any of mine yet, but I will soon:D
 
Im behind you guys. Im just about to purchase a Black Ice Extreme II (Takes 2x 120mm fans). Plonking some sexy silver/aluminium fans on it and mounting it outside the case. Neatly of course.
 
I remember reading in a review somewhere about using #5 as well, but I do not remember the reasoning behind it, something about how it angles the direction of waterflow differantly or something along those lines. I am going to google it and see what I come up with on it. Thanks for the input.
 
The #5 nozzle works because of the jet impingment (sp?) on the base of the heatsink. It just basically creates more turbulance for heat to dissapate in.

All blocks that work this way stem from 1 design from a guy on www.procooling.com forums (and some other ones) named Cathar. His most popular block is the Cascade, which basically revolutinized watercooling blocks. The RBX is just trying to catch up. Cathar's other design is the Whitewater. He sold the rights and marketing to Dtek, so thats where you can get those blocks now. Check out the waterblock construction guide on procooling to see what Cathar says about his own design and the jets...

Yes, yes it is. One of the best actually. Dtek recognized this and bought the similarly designed Whitewater from Cathar. Now the RBX has their interpretation on the market in the RBX. Its a shame Cathar isnt making the Cascade anymore...I'd sure like to pick one up:rolleyes:
