Razer Viper Mouse Button Problems

Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but I thought I would share it to see.

I just baught the new razer viper optical mouse but I think it might of been defective, or its just a weird design flaw. The space between the two mouse buttons is not big enough and so if you put to much pressure on one side it will make the other button click at the same time. This can be very annoying while playing say call of duty and suddenly you are out of bullets because your mouse button got stuck.

I voided my warranty by taking it apart and found the two buttons to be one piece of plastic. So it would make sense they would rub up against each other if you pressed too hard. Maybe I just have problems with being too tense while I play and I should be lighter on the click. I am stuck in my ways though, so I decided to operate instead.

I took a flat file and filed the gap between the buttons to make it larger. Presto! It is now perfect and no matter how hard I apply pressure they wont catch on each other.

the button are pretty sensitive , you do not need to put so much pressure on it.
I tried it once and liked the feel but ...no side button is a real turnoff to me so i'll stick with a logitech mx510 until they release something better. I'd suggest to write tech support HERE to be sure it's not a problem.

I dont think they would know..(that you voided the warranty)

Seeing that your warranty is voided see if you can mod it to work the way you want to.
