  • Slim keycap structure with Hyperesponse™ technology
  • TouchPanel™ easy access media keys

  • 1000Hz Ultrapolling™ / 1ms response time

Could be a solid option for people looking for a gaming keyboard that don't like the G15 or don't need the screeen. Just wanted to know what other people thought about it.

Looks nice, I like the backlit keys. My only complaint about my Tarantula is that the keys aren't backlit. I don't like the G15 - I don't like the way the keys feel. The Tarantula has that solid laptop keyboard feel.

you for some reason Razer is going laptop keys for all their keyboards. They are faster to use than traditional stadium keyboards, but I find them too uncomfortable to use.

I was going to buy the tarantula, but I ended up not getting it because it didn't have a full backlight. I actually like the laptop keyboard feel also so that should be nice. I'm also glad that they decided to lower the price a little. Its supposed to come out at 79.99 which is still high, but much better than the 99.99 price tag that the tarantula had.

I was eying this one while searching for a new kb.. it looks pretty nice.. better than the Taratula and Reclusa esthetically.. imo. Looks like a solid kb for gaming and general use.. it's got a matte finish so you won't have to wipe it down constantly like I did with the Tarantula and all the keys are back-lighted.. I guess they're learning over there at Razer. :)

I prefer laptop keys because of the speed. I'm curious, what about them do you find uncomfortable, is it the size, key placement, short travel or something else?

$80? Ouch. I think it looks great but I would definitely have to test it out before I would spend that much on a keyboard. I'd hate to buy it then realize I hate the feel or sound of the keys.

80 bucks is definitely a lot for a keyboard, but it is better than $100 which was how much the tarantula was.

I'll probably jump on this for my new keyboard once my current one starts die. I have an Aura SlimSeries, my second one. It has a very similar layout to the Lycosa, and I love the laptop keys... regular keys give my wrists pain.

looks real sexy. I'd like to find somewhere to test out how it feels before I spend 80 bucks on it though. The comments about the laptop keys make mer nervous, as I'm not sure I'd like that or not.

This looks like a good candidate to replace my gen 1 G15 that's been through all too much. :p

Pretty looking, but now that I have a G15 and its little info-LCD, I don't think I could live without it!

Logitech all ready provides an SDK. I'd like if they'd license their LCD tech kit to other keyboard manufacturers.

Most of those features where stolen from the G15, except maybe the Line-in/WASD features. Funny thing is, I still think the G15 / Logitech will continue to dominate the market for gaming keyboards.

Awesome. Now I have to purchase this.. I have been looking for a replacement for my work machine. My XPS 720 didn't even come w/ a keyboard so Ive been using a Dell multimedia keyboard. Its probably the worst thing to code on.

Yeah, so as that other one said, it's like a decent-looking G15 or something. Excellent stuff.

I might have to buy one of these just to look at. I hate scissor keys because they are, categorically, total shit.

I've been trying to find the Lycosa for quite awhile, but no luck so far. It looks a lot like my Dinovo Edge, and the lighted keys are a major plus for me.
I love the laptop-like leyboards such as the Lycosa and Dinovo Edge.

Buy.com has it for $65 w/free shipping. It's backordered for 1-2 weeks, tho.

I don't think razer has actually released it for sale yet, but that buy.com price is awesome. I think I'm going to jump on that once they have it in stock. The thing that made me shy away from the G15 was the bulkiness and looks. I feel like that lcd would be pretty helpful though especially when you're listening to music while playing a game. But the lycosa looks soooo pretty :D

Someone explain how these keyboards use laptop type keys.. I thought laptops felt like shit compared to real keyboards. am I wrong? did that change??

I love laptop keys, they put less strain on my wrists. I've been using flat full size keyboards for 3-4 years now and I'll never go back. Took a little getting used to at first, but love em now.
