Recently I installed W7 but still use XP. When in W7, I have a problem with random keys not functioning . It doesn't happen immediately and not all the time, but every now and then I'll be writing something and have a key fail. It works fine after rebooting.
It's W7 64 and XP 32. I did the drivers thing and all so that's not it. I mostly use W7 for gaming and it happens then also, like in BFBC2 I lost the D key and couldn't move right.
Just wondering if anyone else has suffered from the same dilemma.

Yep, I have had this happen once or twice, but hasn't occurred for a couple of months. I haven't looked for a fix since it seems to be rare enough for me to not really care lol
 
My wife and I both have Lycosa keyboards and from time to time, we both get the same issue with keys not functioning. I just unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, fixes the issue every time. The issue is rare like the poster above, so it's not a deal breaker for either of us.
 
lycosa had MANY MANY problems with it as soon as they came out. just go onto youtube and type in razor lycosa nightmares and u'll get like millions of responeses. go onto any forum and type lycosa and there'll be problems with it, which is why i got the black widow ultimate :p
 
I bought a Razer Black Widow that had a similar problem. Some keys wouldnt work at random but only in IE9. In Firefox or Chrome they all worked fine. In games I could press the D key to strafe and it would keep on strafing. The key wasnt stuck, but I was still sliding off to the right.

The problem is with the shitty Razer software. I took the other Black Widow back and traded it in on a new one but this time I didnt install the Razer software. I uninstalled the previous drivers and then just let Windows install its own drivers when I plugged this thing in. After a month so far, this one has worked perfectly.
 
hmm.. i had a ps2 keyboard shit out on me like this recently.

is it a ps2 keyboard or USB? if its PS2 than I'm not 100% sure but it might be bent pins on the PS2 connection, so check that and try to be careful with them as they snap off easy (be careful with pliers)
 
Funny you mentioned this...I've been running my Lycosa for literally like 3 years and this JUST happened to me for the first time...Win 7 64.

Nope. USB It started happening after my W7 64 install. Never had a problem with it before then. It's so random I can't nail the culprit, be it drivers or mechanical and it's not always the same key(s).
