Razer HP-1 problems (bass etc)

So I just got the Razer HP-1 Headphones and I'm quite happy with them, except for the Bass.
The Bass setting on the 'remote' does absolutely nothing.
I did hook it up to my Audigy 2 ZS correctly as the 5.1 surround is working.
Does anybody have some experience/tips on how to get more Bass through the headphones? Or how's the Bass with
other soundcards (X-Fi etc) or Razer's AC-1? Or is there some setting I'm missing?

The other problem I'm now having is that previously my Logitech Z-2300 Speakers were plugged into the soundcard using the green plug and my
old headphones were plugged into the speaker's 'remote'.
This does not work anymore as I have to plug the HP-1 directly into the soundcard. To use the speakers, I now have to change the green plugs on the back of my computer which is quite annoying.
Is the only way around this to get a soundcard with a front panel (such as X-Fi Platinum) for an additional plug for the speakers? Or is there another
solution?

Thanks for the help guys!

I don't have the HP-1 nor the soundcard but I got this from the website.

Q: The bass coming from the Razer BarracudaTM HP-1 Gaming Headphones seems a little weak. What could be the problem?

A: Firstly, make sure the Razer BarracudaTM HP-1 Gaming Headphones are plugged into a 5.1/7.1 sound card. Otherwise, there will be no bass from the headphones due to the fact the stereo channels are reserved for high frequency audio signals in order to get a cleaner output.

If a 5.1/7.1 sound card is in place, make sure the subwoofer volume control on the Razer BarracudaTM HP-1 Gaming Headphones and your sound card are adjusted to an audible level. Note that the HP-1 Gaming Headphones are optimized for the Razer BarracudaTM AC-1 Gaming Audio Card.

Did you try this?

Thanks a lot for you help. I'll try that tonight when I get home.
I already played around with some settings in the Creative Drivers but I didn't get any improvement what so ever. Just increasing the Bass in the Volume Tab makes it all distorted.

Enable Bass redirection on the THX console and select the +15dB boost. The problem, according other users reports, is that the rear channel and center drivers filter out low frequencies instead of redirecting it to the LFE driver.

Well I finally got the Bass working after playing around with the settings in Creative's driver.
Took a combination of calibrating the speakers and changing them from 5.1 to 2.1 and back
Thanks for the help!
