Is $20 a good price for a Razer Deathadder? Is it a good mouse? My local Walmart has these on clearance for $20. Are there different revisions? I noticed on the back of the box it had a 2009 date.

There are optical and laser versions of the deathadder, I believe the $20 ones are optical but not 100% on that. They are pretty decent mice, depends on your play style.

$20 is a great deal for a Deathadder, will check be checking walmart myself.

The 2013 DA is suppose to be a lot nicer compared to the order ones... $20 still seems like a good deal though.

it's supposed to be yes, but it's NOT !

its tracking has a weird / unconnected feel to it because of the insane amount of smoothing applied to the cursor movement

3G and 3.5G versions are much better accuracy wise, (as long as you don't mess with the razer synapse software )

Regardless, for ANY brand new DA, $20 is a fantastic price.

The mouse is worth it, imo.

I'm just returning one. The pointer acceleration is out of control. You can download their funky software to fix that but the gets bad reviews elsewhere (does some crowd crap etc).

I decided to go ahead and get it today. It is actually the Deathadder 3.5G, whatever that means.

I have the Death Adder and haven't had any issues. If you don't care or need to program everything, once you set it up initially the software can be uninstalled. I initially was killing the process that ran it before realizing I could just uninstall the software. :)
