I know this is might not be the right place to ask but it is annoying me.

I have the Sennheiser PC151's and I love them. They are perfect for anything that I do. They have recently developed a problem. My right earphone has a little rattle to it when the bass kicks in. And I listen to trance so this is frequent. I also am a heavy gamer on COD4. It may have come from dropping them one too many times or maybe I blew something.

Should I open them up or say that they are broken? I mean, there is no sound distortion, just sounds like plastic rattling around. Also, how would I go about taking them apart. I see one screw and that's about it. this is my 4th headset in 2 years and I don't want to lose another.

I have the same problem when I plug my Senn HD 280s into an amp. usually opening up your headphones isn't very hard, I think I'm going to try and see if I can tighten some screw or something.

It's likely some loose hair that managed to sneak its way through the foam. Take off the ear pad and the foam underneath it (if that's not the same piece) and blow air over the driver. Happened with my AK's recently.

Makes sense, I am a pretty hairy individual. I mean I have a beard at 16 and am growing my hair out.

EDIT: I believe I might have managed to pull it out. Listening to D&B and there is no more rattle. Thanks, I would have never guessed hair could do that.
