Alright, I got my ratpad two weeks ago. Things were dandy with it and my MX 510. I used furniter polish on it and everything.. But..

There's a problem, sometimes when I'm playing, it'll grind on my Mouse, sometimes even latch on to the mouse (like the mouse getting stuck.) I do not like this.

I used furniter polish on it about four times now trying to get it slick. Same stuff happens.

What should I do? Ditch the pad? If so, what pad should I get?

ratz sucks, i've heard a lot of horror stories about them falling into the pits after a few months, especially the new version. I recommend just use a regular mouse pad how much faster do u want your mouse to scroll anyways? i got it on a mousepad and its fine.

I ditched both my ratpadz and mouse because it totally ate through the feet, and I got tired of reapplying the damned teflon tape once a week.

Went with the func mousepad two years ago and haven't looked back since.

my ratpad wore out in a week.. i threw it away.. it ate the feet on my mx700 noticeably..

i went func been using it for months now.. not a single problem..

Have to agree that ratpadz do like to gnaw on mouse feet. I've have 4 mice with teflon shoes on now since the ones they came with wore out really fast on the ratpadz. If they would manufacture the pads out of teflon like a cutting board they would be much better.

SYN ACK

 not this kind of thread. if he said OMG RATZ PADZ SUCX)RS EVERGLIDE ROCKS!!!! then he'd get banned. But he was asking an honest question and a LOT of people have been having problems with the new ratzpadz. Also you don't need to capitalize every letter, or crap on anyone elses threads.

I have gone thru 4 ratpads (3 old, 1 new GS) and all have eaten my mouse feet.

So dont friggin' push yer comments on me.

I'm still pissed over the situation.

Oh, and by the way, all of my posts were DELETED when I complained about the ratpad a long time ago.

That's why I posted that.

my RatPad dosn't eat feet (Logitech MX500) but my friends does (MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0) i think Logitech use better feet than MS...

<3 my Ratpad!

I'm running 2 MX700 1 MX500 and 1 old school ball logitech, plus a few odd MS mice. All have equally sore feet. I don't hate the ratpadz they are good and tough when you wax the board and add in teflon tape. May take some fine sandpaper to kill off the rough spots.

for the price of them you should _not_ have todo all that.. it should work great right out of the box.. as the func's do..

Таке а look at the new Steelpad S&S. Surface is similar to the Ratpad, but no problems with mouse feet, durable teflon feet included + greater size.

if any pad is eating up your feet, you have two options, change the pad, or change the feet.

I made some kick ass feet out of plexi, (used a dremil to cut the plexi to shape, then rounded off the feet, nothing eats the feet up, and the mouce glides smothe.

for now i have no pad, b/c my bed is my desk, and my mouce never sticks to my seets.

No.

I'm not putting that much work into a mouse/mousepad, especially after spending so much on ratpads...BLEH!

I don't have that much time, sorry.

Guess I've learned my lesson; ordering up a func now. Seeya RatPad(s).

I took out the mousepad, man they did eat the slickness off my legs.

Will a table still eat the slickness off of a MX510? Can Teflon tape fix my mouse legs?

I heard the fUNC can get worn out quickly, is that true?
