Rated Hose PSI?

WHat should the hose be rated at in a WC system.. I have the Swift 655 pump.. i beleive its rated at 50 lbs? i Just got some free hose from a local hardware store and it says 45 PSI. Is that strong enough?

No, you're reading the specs incorrectly. The pump doesn't produce 50 PSI, it can just handle up to that amount of pressure before breaking.

50PSI, now that's a high flow system (it actually isn't, flow != pressure)

yeah, that why i asked, when i typed it, it sounded wrong, but i just couldn't tell ya why.... im going to leak test with the free stuff... see if i like it.

But that raises another question, what about high pressure systems? The danger probably far exceeds the benefits. But wouldn't benefits exist? You're allowing more water to be cooled and heated in less space....

Water is a liquid, and since liquid do not compress (chem disclaimer: an appriciable amount), a high-pressure system isn't "sqeezing" more water into a given space.

lol Any pump that would make you consider the PSI rating of your tubing would be unbearably loud and big.
