I don't know about you, but I feel pretty good about being a zero this morning. Now go rate your IP.

Combining the data gathered via its scanning platform 40fy with security knowledge, BinaryEdge developed a vulnerability score system that represents the level of exposure of an IP address. The vulnerability score of an IP address is directly related with its exposure level.

I got a zero as well. Incidentally, that is how I would rate CenturyLink overall. A solid 0 out of 100 is the perfect rating for those fucks.

It found a hole that Shields Up didn't spot. Now fixed, for a nice fat zero. It still says it can detect a service running on port 7547, SOAP, which I've not spotted how to stop on my Draytek 2860.

Got a zero, but Shields Up Service Ports scan show all stealth, except 22, 80, and 443 as Closed, so it shows Failed. Ideas?

I use a VPN through my DD_WRT router and I got 34/100. Turn off the VPN service and I get 0/100. I expected the opposite.

Closed is ok too, its just that "they'll" know that there's someone there thus stealth is better. I would guess changing it depends on your firewalls behavior. What do you use for a fw?

It would be interesting to see to scores of some of those open FTP's and NAS's from shodan.io

Well, open VPN port gets you off Zero, which is a bit off. However I got something on the CVE list, but there is no info on how to check exactly what that is...

31/100 damn
the linksys 'smart-wifi' BS has management open from the internet and you cant disable it.

22.9/100 at work due to open ports on SonicWALL. Home is a big fat Zero on all tests running a Pfsense box.

2.9/100 one open port.. good enough for me running several remote system and servers at home.. =)..

UPMC

Although just this week I had to talk to one of the hospital network admins about a possible torrent on a machine in the building that I am responsible for. It was from a different department than mine but I still have to look into the situation.

No VPN 0 out of 100
With ExpressVPN 25.7 out of 100 -- says http and ip address downloading a torrent found, though the IP address found is not mine AND my torrent client is not running...

I am finding that tool a wee bit dodgy.

You sure about that? I have it as well and I got a FAT ZERO...

I'm running a WRT3200ACM - I doubled checked and logged in on the Smart WiFi and re-ran the Rate My IP - still got a zero.

This port scanner means nothing in the real world. I suppose, if you had no idea that a FTP, HTTP/S or SMTP port was open, it might be beneficial, but it doesn't mean your firewall is inherently "less secure" because you are purposely routing these ports to a service or server behind the firewall. FWIW, we have http and https open (on purpose) to the outside world. This gives us a score of 22.9. However, I can easily drop packets from the port scanner's IP and obtain a score of 0. Also, it appears to only scan known ports and not obscure/non-standard ports.

This thing is full of shit.

I get 0's on everything including servers.

20 points due to HTTP (without SSL) being 6/6 and 1 open port.

With my TorGuard VPN off I get no open ports at https://www.grc.com/

But with the VPN enabled it's showing open 22 and a few others. What gives? I see nothing in Torguard settings for closing ports, doesn't matter if I'm connected via TCP or UDP. Also, trying to close the port didn't change anything according to GRC
