Im looking for a hsf to cool my oced 3800+ (or soon to have ;))

Can you rate these hsfs and put them in order...rate them only on performance, NOT PRICE. Thanks ;)

Scythe ninja w/ 120mm fan
TT Big Typhoon
Zalman CNPS7000CU
Zalman CNPS7000B ALCU
Zalman CNPS9500
Zalman Fatality FS-C77

What do you think?

Remember to only rate them on performance.

Yay another scythe vs zalman vs someother hsf thread!!!

Can we like do something about this? Its so opinionated! Somebody needs to make a sticky thread so people can discuss these HSFs

damn, i thought the 9500 was better than the big typhoon.

Thanks though.
All he did was put numbers by the exact same list you posted. He didn't suggest anything at all. Read the second post to find out why.

Well I'm biased towards the ninja cuz I have it and love it. Zalman 9500 looks good too, but its a bit pricey.

yes, he rated them like this
1. Scythe ninja w/ 120mm fan
2. TT Big Typhoon
3. Zalman CNPS9500
4. Zalman Fatality FS-C77
5. Zalman CNPS7000CU
6. Zalman CNPS7000B ALCU

numbers were not in order :)

Go with whichever of the top 3 that the guy posted.. they're all pretty much the same imo. Personally though, I would get a thermalright XP-120.

Scythe Ninja
Zalman CNPS-9500 or TT Typhoon (I would not use a TT product though)
Zalman Fatality FS-C77
Zalman CNPS7000CU and Zalman CNPS7000B ALCU are really the same. (2-3*c away from each other)

i was originally going to go with the scythe ninja, but Ive never modded a desktop before...ive always been a lappy guy;)

So, monarch is building a rig for me and the 9500 is an option along with the cnps7000 alcu. So, i guess ill go with the 9500 even though it costs $67 :(

Get the Ninja.

Just think, If someone asks you what you have in your computer, your answer will be "a ninja." I can smell the fear already.

Also I hear they're pretty good at cooling.

You'll probably want to lap the Ninja because the base is pretty bad, also if you use the backing plate do not use the adhesive pad! It's like super glue, I had to use a butter knife to pry it off and even then not all of the pad came off the mobo.
