I've come up with this setup for cooling my Q6660 & NB Chipset on my eVGA 680i. I posted this in one of my other threads but the question was kinda dumb so I doubt the people who knew the answer to this part actually looked at it. :p

Radiator: Swiftech MCR-220
Pump: Swiftech MCP655 D5
Reservoir: Swiftech Micro Hi-Flo
CPU Block: D-Tek Fuzion
NB Chipset Block: EK-NB eVGA 680i (Acrylic)
10ft of 3/8'' ID Masterkleer
and some Blue UV Reactant

Also for the fittings, I'm going to want to keep everything 3/8'' ID I assume? Which means the tube fits inside of it and the clamp comes around where as OD means you're surrounding the barb and clamping it down? Just double checking.

Total for that set is $288.90 including shipping so it isn't too bad?

Do you think it would be worth cooling the SB as well?

I plan on bringing my Quad to a stable 3.4-3.5ghz and am willing to do what's needed cooling wise to get there. I'm dropping the extra money on the pump incase I decide to throw down money later for a GPU 8800GTX Water Block. Only thing I'm sort of worried about is short-changing the Radiator by not going 3x120mm but I'm not exactly cooling a lot I don't think?

Finally, do you think a Corsair 620W is enough to power an 8800GTX (eventually SLI), a Q6600 overclocked to 3.5, an eVGA 680i A1 Mobo and 2 gigs of G.SKILL Ram with timings dropped? I'm pretty sure it should but I'm a little concerned. :|

From what I've seen on here, a 220 radiator may not be adequate when you throw the GPU into the loop. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You are right. If you plan to add a GPU later, it's better to go with a 3x120 radiator like a MCR320 or PA120.3.

Well there isn't exactly much room for adjustment for the new guys.

Also, I'll look into the triple radiators. I doubt they'll fit into my case though that's my only concern. :|

Edit: K so the 320 isn't too much more than then 220, so I'm just going to grab that one. Thanks!

So why not mount outside the case? Better air flow and better starting air temps... it can only help. I have the same board and a QX6700. None of my water cooling plans have included a Radiator on the inside because both the board and my 8800GTS dump heat in that case like crazy.

Because I have no idea where I would put it. I don't want to put it lying flat at the top because I've heard bad things about that and I guess the ideal place would be to put it in front of my TTArmor but I'm not sure.

Yes it is. It handles my setup just fine.

When certain products are proven to perform better then others, and to top it all off are priced nicely that tends to happen.

Unless you feel like paying more, for something that isn't as good, simply because you like the asthetics of it... or simply just to be different.

IMHO DangerDen needs to step up their game, they used to be really good, now not so much.

I've just heard a lot of good things about all of my parts... if you have something to suggest than feel free but I'm not about to go buy some unheard of brand just to be different.
 
There's lots of manufacturer's to get stuff from. Danger Den, EK, Koolance, Innovatek, Aqua Computer, Alphacool, Asetek, Watercool, etc. They all make quality products.

I know this. But Petras doesn't really have a huge variety and I don't feel like sifting through other sites when I know what I have here is quality enough.

But not all their products are competitive.

It's been proven on other forums by many people which products come out on the top, there is overwhelming evidence. It's not speculation it's close to proven.

Some of the companies you listed (innovatek and aquacomputer) are known for over charging for parts that do not perform as well. But they look amazing.

So there are three types of mindsets here.

Person one wants performance. And they buy the d-tek/ek/swiftech parts.

Person two wants the best value, they buy from the same companies just not the more expensive parts.

Person three care about looks, and they buy from those companies.

Screaming to the high hills that you don't accept the proof there is won't help you convince people to buy other products.

So how is the 3/8 ID tubing going to fit around the ½ barbs? I didn’t see any 3/8 fitting options on the product pages. Am I missing something? I thought when you use 3/8 ID tubing its best to find a pump that natively comes with 3/8 fittings.

If the store where you are buying the parts doesn't give the option for 3/8" barbs, you might have to buy them separately.
 
With 1/2 barbs, I suggest at least considering 7/16 Masterkleer - @ $0.49/ft @ PTS..Wraps around 1/2" barbs fairly easily (if you dip it in HOT water first)...Doesn't really even need clamps then.

Anyway, a 3x120 Swiftech WOULD fit in an Armor, but it would leave you with at most 1 5 1/4 bay (+the 5 1/4//3 1/2//power bay)...So any HDDs would HAVE to be mounted in the upper rear bay next to the PSU. And I'm not sure that if you were to pack it full of 3 drives that they would get enough airflow

...Or how about the MCR220 up front, and any 1/2" barbed 1x120 in the rear mount? I say any and not the MCR120 in particular since it comes w/ 3/8 barbs WELDED to the friggin tank for some reason...Other Swiftech rads easily interchangeable.
