Nice system ~7.5; however there is no a: drive--it's called a damned floppy drive. You can make it a z: drive if you wanted. Then you'd be ueber cool. Please people, stop calling floppy drives a drives. /rant

B

PS In retrospect the rant is probably because I'm pretty jealous of you for your new system.

7. There is already a ATI X800 XT for PCI-E on Newegg. And its shipping. I would check that out instead of wasting money on the 5750.

i was thinking of buying a new 775 mobo (the intel one) but i decided not to because until longhorn comes i probably will have to upgrade again (2 upgrades i think it'll be necessary until longhorn comes.) for now i keep my 478 875 mobo and buy a 3.4c processor.

5.

eww a p4... a 5750 just for the pci express? are u kidding? omg dude...

7... average video card, premodded cheesy case , generic speakers, and a non-mx series logitech setup. no sound "card", integrated?. And the day you see the "peak" wattage of 620 on that power supply is the day you put it in the freezer to keep the temp low enough, i would just stick with the "rated" wattage. Overall a nice system though

I would imagine you're using it to game since you plan on getting a high end video card. So you should have gotten an Athlon 64 3800 instead of the P4. It would have been the same price or cheaper, plus you'd get a good boost in games.

Counting the current card, a 5.
After the new card.. 7
With an Athlon 64, I'd give it an 8

I'd give it a 1 since it seems your just showing off..wuts the point off this thread...

why the hell did u buy a case with a psu and then add one? are u stupid? that case can be found without psus.

i am using the psu in my other computer that fried the psu out..... Oh and i bought the 5750 from newegg and its evga, I plan to use the step up program to get the 6800 ultra when it comes out. Thats why I went with a 5750 and ati can sux my @ss! 6800> x800. I was a amd man, my machine b4 this bad boy was a amd athlon xp 2200 and before that it was a athlon xp 1600 but since amd doesn't have pci-e it lost this round for me. I was looking to build a machine that will last me 4 years b4 i need to upgrade and even then it might just need a better graphics card....

My last setup
soyo dragon lite kt400
512 pc2100 ddr ram
40 gig maxtor 7,200 rpm drive
plextor 12x cd-r burner
15 inch kds monitor
athlon xp 2200
Winfast Geforce 3 ti200 64 meg graphics card

lasted me 3 and a half years and now its moms internet pc.

x800 > 6800
x800 < 6800
x800 = 6800

:p lol. Go ahead and waste ur money by buying that 5750.

no i am not thinking about buying this machine i'm on in it right now, u all do know what the step up program is right? I buy this 5750 which i already have, register it, when the 6800 ultra comes to pci-e from evga i send it to evga pay the shipping to and fro and the difference between the card i bought and the new card and i get the 6800 for basically the normal price..... god some of u all baffle me with your stupidity... i am not going to use a 170 dollar card in a machine that cost me 1900 without the graphics card.

dumbass, its not JUST your graphix card.... read all the posts here over again.
