mobo: Asus m2n-Sli deluxe

cpu: AMD 64 X2 6000+ Windsor AM2

memory: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4HDX

video: MSI NX8600GTS-Oc

case: cooler master RC-690

power supply: Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W

nothing but frustration with the motherboard. First set of memory, g.skill 1gbx2... System would take 3-5 mins to post. i've read that the motherboard is very picky with ddr2 memory.
Returned them and got the corsair. Same result, it would take 4+ mins for the system to P.O.S.T.
I returned the systemboard today.

What systemboard should I purchase? (compatible with what parts I have now)

is my powersupply sufficient?
 
My failure to do some research is resulting the long delay to get my system up and running.
I'm gonna use this current power supply for a smaller PC build.

On the other hand, at some point you just have to get things moving - experience is for fixing that issue next time around. Fortunately you're doing this when you can still return stuff from the sound of it, so nothing lost but time and pride for the do-over.

Rosewill is Newegg's generic brand. You generally don't want generic power supplies, it tends to make your computer unstable and/or releases the magic smoke from your video card. The Rosewill unit might be okay if you don't put a major load on it, it might even be okay in a high-demand system. It's generic, so it has no way for you to tell what the quality is when you order it - sometimes it's decent, sometimes it's crap. If you're going to repurpose it, try not to stick it with any expensive parts.

The Corsair VX series is reasonably cheap and very solid. Not the only option out there, but a good first place to look.
 
You should take the egg reviews with a grain of salt. I'm also doing a new build. You can take a look at mine and maybe find some parts you like.

That's very...flashy. I would stick with a Corsair VX or HX series unit over that, though.

I almost wish I needed another power supply right now, the price on that TX 750W unit is nice. More power than even my rig probably needs, though.

as far is the motherboard is concerned, thinking of m2n32-sli deluxe. any suggestions?

Your system would be fine with the VX550 or HX520... even a VX450 would do fine. A 750 is way overkill
