Ok well the last threa I mad eof this got move dto general hardware and it doesnt really belong there and then they locked it becuase it wasnt suppose to be there !!!! :mad:

Anyway mods I dont know really where to put this but theres alot of workstations rigs in here so I figure I'll put it in here and if he doesnt belong here just pm me thanks :D .

I'll give it a 5 as its not as good as my system. Specs are as follows.

Sony Vaio PCV-J100
600MHz Intel Celeron 9x67 locked
128mb PC100
24x8x32 Sony CD-R/RW (says 24x8x24 but nero and various other programs read it as that)
Asus motherboard whose name is unknown to me
80gb Seagate Barracude 7200rpm drive
Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 SE 64mb Sdram PCI
Intel 810 integrated graphics, 32mb shared (burned out)
Integrated AC-97
D-Link 10/100 Lan
Lucent Win Data/Fax 56k modem
110 watt generic PSU
No case fans
Stock heat sink, modded to have a 80mm fan instead of the stock 50mm
Generic 1.44mb floppy
All tightly packed into a really small purple computer case, solid steel except for the front panel which is plastic

So as you can see, my system > yours. :rolleyes: jk


I'll give it a 6 for now, would be higher if for a few reasons.
1. If youre going to OC, get a little more than 18MHz from it
2. 5700 isnt that bad, but for such a nice system it may prove to be a bottleneck
3. If you're going to add another 120gb, think about a raid array...still puzzles me why those dont turn girls on. :confused:

Oh, and start folding and dont limit the system to Windows, be a man and try a flavor of *nix
 
Good specs.... but can't you OC it a little more than 3 mhz? Also what monitor mouse keyboard blah blah... if you wanna list your system go all out... pics are a must too... I wouldn't upgrade to the second 120 unless you really need the extra space... Raid isn't gonna make a big difference, and it will increase the chance that your data goes poof.

List the whole system... I think if you have a crappy monitor or mouse than you might do better upgrading that rather than another hd or new vid card.

I would say mess with OCing that a bit more. What kind of cooling are you using? Upgrade that first. If you go with watercooling you can mod your system to fit the rad and be able to OC better. Thats two birds with one stone.

Need more information, and more direct questions about your comp... There are millions of mods that people have done, and I'm sure if you sit down and think, "how can i make this better/cooler looking/more efficient" you'll think of something to do.

Also if your name has AMDXPCottonFire22 why are you using a P4?? that's heresy man, and if i remember the laws correctly, punishable by burning at the stake...

at least i think so.... :)

edit: I'm not giving a rating cause it's nothing to rate... need pics or detailed desciption of mods that you have done to rate something. Right now it's just a list of parts...

RAWR I hate explaining my name well I got it from my first system it was an AMD Authientic 233 Mhz :D pHear PwnAgE there lol!


My Heatsink runs at 4500 rpms I have 3 60 mm fans 1x 120 mm and 2 smaller ones around the processor.

I average 31 celcius on idle and 35-45 when playing games not bad considering the processor.

here is a clue, when a mod locks a thread
coming back and posting it again is one of the quickest ways to burnt bread status ;)

rating your rig without any application is pointless
your not seeking advice or asking a question
which is why I assume B.B.S. locked it in the first place
in future you can PM the mod that locked it and ask what was wrong with it
