Hell of a system............but

why an Extreme Edition P4, time and time again its been proven that it isn't faster than than an AMD Fx-55, and its barely, and i mean barely, faster than a normal p4

savings there could have went towards more storage, nice power supply, tv tuner, things that make for a nicer computer even if its not faster.

X800pro? why not x800xl? the extra 4 pipes do help performance.

my 2 cents.

max budget and intended use?

I would go with this for that range for starters:

Dell 2005FPW LCD
AMD Athlon 64 FX55
2x 1024 pc3200 ddr
DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D
BBA Radeon X800 xl
2x120gb Seagate 7200.8 Matrix raid
Lian Li V1000B
Enermax Noistaker 485w / PCP&P / Forton 500w
