well i have gotten a deal for a 150 raptor x for 100 bucks, and im about to buy it so the faster the help the better, my Q is my mobo only has sata 3gb/s slots, and the raptor is serialata150 so myy question is does it work with my mobo?

maybe, maybe not.. really depends on the drive also.. the seagate 7200.10s n raid0 would romp on the raptor. but those raptors have extremely fast access times aslo .. raid0 drives would likely have higher sustained xfer rates (reading/writing to two sources/targets).. but the raptor x is a beautiful drive tho.. getting one for $100 is an awesome deal.

are 2x160gb/16mb cache @ raid 0 , would be faster than a raptop x?
it depends. They are in some instances, they are not in others.
