I have recieved my new Raptor 150GB from NewEgg! However, I have to wonder. I quick formatted the drive, and installed Windows XP. After install, I was not able to boot Windows. The screen came up "We are sorry for the inconvienence, but Windows did not start successfully blah blah blah" I tried "Normal" and "Last Known Good" but neither worked. I now Full Formatted the drive (well I'm full formatting as I type). It has taken over an hour and a half to get to 90%....is this normal? This is a Raptor 150.... My old Raptor took forever to quick and full format, this full format has me concerned....HELP PLEASE.

Do you have another computer or PCI IDE/SATA card to test the drives with? It's possible there's some problem with your IDE chipset. If you've had two drives already seemingly fail it would be worth looking into, it's possible there's nothing wrong with the drives at all.

The speed of my raptor decreased substantially during benchmarks when I had my system overclocked. Lowered the settings a little bit and the problem went away.
