I bought two Vantec Crossflow boxes from newegg. Like 35 a peice. wow what a difference. Both in raid 0 16k stripe the bottom box (they are stacked so bottom is warmer runs at the raptor at 32c, when i turn the fan off entire it goes 42c. Well worthy investment, keep the raptors living long.

Not that I've heard of.
Raptor 74GB doesn't even run all that hot especially if the case has good airflow.
Waste of money IMO, kinda like RAID 0. But do it anyway if it makes you happy.
