I use to run a Raptor 150 in my game box, then it died on me, and WD sent me two of them brand new, because they screwed up my RMA.

And I was thinking if I should keep one for my game box and sell the other, or just get a nice 16MB cache SATA drive instead.

Can the Raptor 150 make a difference for gaming?

The Raptor 150 I have makes a huge difference in game load times.

Yes load times is the only place I ever noticed any differences, but in gaming I wonder if it really matters.

So just for faster loading, if that's all it's going to do I'm not sure I want to keep it then...

I'd keep it. After all, it's nice to speed up the, often, slowest part of the system which usually acts as a bottleneck.
