Every @$*&#^ thread on every page of a multi page thread and sometimes MULTIPLE times on the same page someone always quotes someones pics, usually 15 pics in the quote, and responds with "Oh I like what ya did there".

Just "UserName" and get rid of the pics, write your 2 cents and post it. How does anyone not understand that it looks @@$@$ing retarded when you quote pics!!!! You know how tired my middle finger is from scrolling the wheel on this mouse just to see the same thing over and over.

I understand maybe reposting 1 pic to show the OP or whoever what you are reffering to but @!$!&$(*@!$&!(@$

Every other forum I visit has this down to a science and I visit some off the wall forums. How in this day in age someone doesn't realize NOT to do that is beyond me. PAY ATTENTION!!! If you realize you did it on mistake EDIT yo shish!!!

...this is pretty annoying.

After quoting the post at least remove the img tags so the links can be viewed and everyone will know what you're referring too... and on that note this would cut down on all the duplicate 'what is that?' or 'where'd you get that?' posts.

just give up... some just don't have a clue....

okay that was not that funny, but seriously I agree with the above about at least removing the
tags and just keep the link so people know what you're talking about if there is heavy discussion going on. Really annoying. Also, while we're on it people that bump worklogs just because the OP hasn't posted an update recently - that bothers me too.

I always try to remove the image tag (or break it, actually. remove on letter and the image is gone). It annoys me as well when people dont.
quoting images is only appropriate if they aren't numbered and you are referencing a single pic.

When i quote pics, ill quote the text, and them if there is one picture, ill put "*snip*" where that one picture was... or if there were 2 or more, i put *snip snip snip*

Seriously

Completely agree...
Other thing which can make problem lot worser is quoting whole post. Even trying to figure out the meaning of reply is pain in the neck when there's whole post quote with n+half dozen pics instead of that related part.

An easy solution is the old MLA citation format where you cite pics by the order they appeared such as [pic 1] and so forth. :D

Get a bigger monitor.
Increase speed in scroll wheel.

That doesnt solve stupidness and just, what i would call, disrespect on the forum.

Although, i will admit being able to scroll a full page of pics in like.. 5 clicks is awesome

How about pictures that are 2560 x 1600+ resolution? Got to love the geniuses... Or people who make their own thread and call it "World's first the most Official ultra ubber piece of crap computer" or the whiners who make their own thread just to whine and bitch about something..... or the ones who create a thread and tell THE WORLD on what and what not they bought for their new build... like some one gives a a shit.

You use your middle finger for scrolling?
I think that is the real problem here. :)

I am sorry I couldn't help it.
I agree with what you are saying. I just laughed a little bit. sorry ...

Well those are just minor annoyances that come with any forum. I agree with you, but quoting pics is by far the most inconsiderate thing to do to other forum users IMO.

I guess you could lump me in to the "whiners who create threads to bitch". I just got to a snapping point yesterday night as it seemed every thread I tried reading just had repititve pics in them.

Nah i would not put you in to that category...
For example, been reading Console gaming section, and some one made a thread about a game that did not came out yet calling it terrible and bad and what not, just bunch of fucking whining... I couldn't stop myself from replying, but unfortunately some one told MOMMY and MOMMY deleted my post, because i insulted the member! It's not like i called him stupid, i called him "smart"

But my favorite ones would be "ATI sucks" or "CCC hosed my MBR" run a quick search, and see for yourself. (Video cards/AMD Flavor)

Hmm this dell 30" doesn't seem to be quite big enough to handle all the picture quoting... Please show me a higher resolution lcd I can use to stop this problem.

Some forums automatically remove the image tags from quoted posts, that would be nice here.

I agree completely, should be a three strike banable offense

I share your frustrations, it gets really annoying having to scroll and scroll through quoted posts. I usually just PM the person if I have a particular question in a certain thread. If I do quote somebody, I make sure to remove the tags first. It takes a few seconds; not hard to do!
